We had the opportunity to purchase a big lot of used wool processing machines from someone who was retiring, we kept the others but this one isn't a machine we will use for Mellyknits products, so we are passing it along to someone who wants to make rovings! It's been cleaned up and we tested it and found it works really well with long wools, alpaca and down type stuff. It will process finer stuff (we tested it with haunui and merino) but it wasn't super smooth - it still made roving bumps with it just not as well as it did with the stronger wools and alpaca. Sturdy machine, would be great for anyone wanting to produce rovings for sale!
