The Design: I wanted to create a blend for yarn that was comfy, durable, and made with fibres from my home province. Down wools are cushioning and resistant to felting, Cotswold is super strong (think: natures nylon) and Alpaca is 6x warmer than wool - blend them together, add a little colour from my sis and we have a British Columbia grown, milled and dyed yarn that is perfect for socks! That being said, this blend would be beautiful for all kinds of projects and does not need to be limited to socks :)
Milled at Shelterwood Fibre Mill in Vernon, B.C.
Note: Skeins are measured at the mill based on length, so the weight of each skein can fluctuate by +/- 10% but the length (metres/yards) does not.
