Welcome to Team Stash Dashers!! This is the fifth year that the Dashers have gathered to spin together and I am so excited to be hosting again! 

Everything you need to know for this years Tour De Fleece is below. We’ve got a lot of info to go over before everything begins, so grab a drink, get comfy and read on! 

THE TOUR

The Tour De Fleece begins Saturday, July 4 and ends on July 26. Begin or end at any time on those days, we are all in different time zones anyways so just go with whatever works for you. If you haven’t signed up yet or want to forward this to a friend who hasnt, the sign up form is open until July 9 and can be found HERE.

COMMUNITY SPACES

We have two community options this year for those who like to partake in the social side of the Dashers: Instagram small group chats and the Melly Knits Discord server!

This years Instagram chats are called Van’s, and I am opening up them up on July 3 for those who signed up for this option! These chats are put together randomly/organically and with a mix of spinners from all over the world, so I strongly recommend that you mute the chat once you are in! We are in different time zones and have different engagement levels so if it’s muted, you can check it only when you want to and won’t have your phone going crazy.

For Discord, you can join the server HERE! There is a special spot for this years tour called Stash Dashers 26 that you can explore! 

Road Rules! (for the Insta chats and Discord)

  • No Road Rage: Please be respectful of others, civil, and welcoming.

  • No Littering: Please keep the chats/our server free of promotion, soliciting, or advertising.

  • Tow Truck: Please reach out to the mod team if you need help on the Discord Server, or the Van driver if you need help in the small group chat.

  • Car Wash: Please keep the chats/our server free of NSFW content.

  • Walkie Talkie: Please ask for help, Stash Dashers love to share our knowledge.

  • Please follow all designated traffic signs (Discord only): Please use the channels according to the labels.

  • Please bring posts of your pets, plants, recipes, snacks, and crafting :)

I love these Road Rules for us! These are shared spaces and we will take care of them and each other <3

We've had over 500 people join the Stash Dashers already this year! We are one team with many ways to engage! If you see people in the Dashers Whoop or using the #stashdashers hashtag that aren’t in your Van or hanging out on the Discord server, they are still your team mate! 

*If you signed up to be in an Instagram chat or joined the Discord and decide later on that it’s not the type of social engagement for you, you can leave at any time! 

THE GIVEAWAYS

We always have LOADS of giveaways thanks to a bunch of the people on this team and others in the community!! I will divide everything up and will be doing the giveaways on three Saturdays during the Tour (July 4, July 11 & 25) Live on the Melly Knits Youtube at 11am PST. The July 18th Saturday will happen while the hubby and I are on our roadtrip and I have a special idea for giveaways for that one, but it wont be a live! Itll be good though, I got this! The winners will be put in the caption section of all videos so if you can’t make it, no worries, you can see if you won later! Subscribe to the Melly Knits Youtube to be notified of when these start and to participate in the Live chat :)

Every person who signed up to be a Stash Dasher is in the Whoop of Fortune (aka an internet randomizer that Marina set up) and eligible to win. There is no other criteria - if you are signed up, you are on the road. You can only win once though! Winners names are removed from the wheel after they win :)

THE CHEER

Cheering each other on is the best!! We are a team after all, so we do the social media equivalent of a high-five/chest bump/booty smack by liking each others posts, leaving encouraging comments, sharing etc! Use the hashtag #stashdashers and #dashelsroadtrip on your Instagram posts and chat/share in the proper channels on Discord so we can all find each other.

Instagram Specific Activity: Each evening of the Tour I will do the Dashers Whoop in my Instagram stories and share any new grid posts from the day (that I can). **I only get notified about your post/story and can share it to the Whoop if I’m tagged @mellyknits** Sharing/tagging is not a requirement to be a Dasher or to be in the giveaways, it’s just fun :) Marina from Batty Fibers has also made a whole bunch of stickers/gifs for us to use in stories and on posts! Search “stashdashers” or “mellyknits” in gifs to find those.

 THE MERCH

New This Year: All the merch (with the exception of Brambles braids - more on that below) will be available to purchase through the MellyKnits site, but with all the profits still going to the respective makers! We are going to be doing a pre-sale for apparel and the rest will be ready-to-ship. We are *almost* ready to release the merch, but not quite. Vinyl, dishwasher safe stickers are still at the printers, custom Stitch Markers are in the mail from Busted Button and Amanda from Grey & Wild is getting ready in her home studio to get to work! We just need a few more details to come together and then I'll let you guys know when its ready on the site.

But you know whats ready right now? The Bramble Ridge Stash Dashers colourway for this years tour! She has named it "Destination Dashel" and its available for pre order on three bases: BFL Glow, Shetland and Stone 20.6 Haunui. These can be ordered directly from Meaghan at Bramble on her website. I got the Shetland one WHOOOOP!
