Week 3 of being sneaky!! This week wasn’t for experimenting and instead I went with a classic, Top Ten Melly fav 🫶🏻
Charlie first appeared in the True North advent last year and when her fleece became available again at our local fibre auction (she took home ribbons, as per usual), I had Aaron hold that paddle high to make sure she came home with us. I can’t say that I love all Rideau Arcott, but I can say that I love all Rideau Arcott from this specific flock. Something in the genetics running on Diane’s farm (located about 20 mins from me) are spitting out these amazing fleece and I’ve loved each and every one of had the pleasure of working with.
Charlie is on the softer end of a medium wool and won’t be stabby. Expect a grippy spin with a bit of sheen and texture from the silks and depending on your spin, a light and lofty yarn at the end. I think she’d make a great cozy cowl/scarf 🙌🏻
Fibre Content: "Charlie” Rideau Arcott from Diane Bence here in BC with 10% Tussah silk and 10% sari silk
*Colour vary from screen to blah blah blah. Sari silk bleeds! Set the twist in cool water to help with that!
